This year, the Libertarian Party of Minnesota and the
Libertarian Party of Wisconsin got together for a joint
state convention on Saturday, 4/14/2012.
The day started with separate business meeting followed by
a joint session of speeches, presidential candidate
presentations, a very nice buffet meal, and
two keynote speakers.
Several speakers talked of issues important to
Minnesota or Wisconsin or both.
Sam Sloan, a publisher and noted chess player, is running
for President. He gave an entertaining speech.
Representing R. Lee Wrights were Julie Fox and his
campaign manager. They both spoke enthusiastically about
Mr Wrights.
Gary Johnson gave us a very moving speech and garnered
much attention throughout the convention.
After dinner, Walter Block of the
Ludwig Von Mises Institute
gave a very interesting speech.
Sharon Harris of the
Advocates for Self Government
told us of some ways to help sway conversations toward our point
of view.
